CHEVROLET NOVA

Chevrolet Nova

POINTS OF TECHNICAL INTEREST

Even a quick glance at the body style of this model shows a remarkable similarity with General Motors products on this side of the Atlantic. This vehicle could be mistaken for a Vauxhall PB Series Velox or Cresta of the early 60’s; even the model name has since been resurrected by the British company and used on Vauxhall’s successful range of small cars.

This model was produced to a price and did not reflect the strong American fashion of the times, for lavishly appointed monsters. Even so, the model enjoyed a successful production life and was popular at the lower price end of the market and as a second car.

POINTS OF GENERAL INTEREST

The Nova has been in this collection for many years now but in 1970, during a previous ownership, it belonged to Bishop Robert Anthony, the Bishop of Kuala Lumpa, and was used by him in the City of Rome whilst he was stationed at the Vatican.
