The Atwell Wilson Motor Museum attends a number of car shows and events each year to publicise our Museum. We also welcome all clubs who would like to visit us at the Museum in Calne.

Our calendar of events for 2008 is below:

On Sunday 10th February the Pan European Honda Club will be visiting the museum.

The Museum had a stand at the long running and ever popular Bristol Classic Car Show on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th February at the Royal Bath and West show ground in Shepton Mallett. Some photos taken at the show appear below, please click on them to view a larger version:

At 1:00 p.m. on Sunday 9th March our guests at the Museum will be members from the Dorset Rover P4 Club. The Stable Team Room will be open and offering a selection of goodies including soup and rolls. Click on the photos below to see a larger version:

On Sunday 16th March members from the Wells Classic Motor Cycle Club will be arriving at the Museum around 2.30 p.m. Some photos from the day appear below:

On Saturday 26th April Merlin Events will have 25 to 30 classic cars on show at the Museum.

Over the weekend of 10th and 11th May we will have a stand at the Castle Combe Steam & Vintage Rally. This is a great day out for all the family with a variety of attractions.

On Sunday 18th May we will be welcoming members of the Forest of Dean Historic Vehicle Club and the BMW Motor Bike Club to the Museum.

The Museum will be represented at the Bradford-on-Avon Lion's Club Annual Fun Day on the Bank Holiday of Monday 26th May.

There are several clubs visiting us on Sunday 1st June starting with the Bristol 2CV Club and the Citreon Specials Club at 10:45, followed by the Buick - Avebury Museum from 15:30 to 16:30. Avebury Museum opened in 1938 - National Trust.

On Sunday 8th June we look forward to a visit from The Wolseley Register Club.

On the weekend of 14th and 15th of June members from the British Made Car Club will be our guests at the Museum. We will also be visited by Norton Radstock Classic car Club on Sunday 15th June.

Bargewood Car Club will be made very welcome at the Museum on Sunday 22nd June. In the afternoon we will also be welcoming members of the Swindon Association of Snails 2CV Club.

Our visitors on Sunday 29th June will be members from Chipping Sodbury Classic Car Club with "Austins in Action" from 12 noon.

The weekend of 5th and 6th of July will see the Museum represented at The Heddington and Stockley Steam Rally. This local rally was cancelled last year and we are looking forward to it taking place this year. The Museum will also be welcoming members from the Lancia Motor Club in the late morning.

On Sunday 13th July the Atwell-Wilson Show wil take place at the Museum including the Cotswold P.S.V. Group and the Skyline Owners Club. This year is the 60th anniversary of the Land Rover and a special display area will be devoted to this. You can download more information and entry forms using the following links:

Chippenham Driving Instructors Association will be our visitors at the Museum on Tuesday 15th July.

At 11:00 on Sunday 20th July we will be welcoming the Bristol Group of Advanced Motorists at the Museum.

Members of the Daimler Enthusiasts Club will be visiting us at 16:00 on Friday 1st August.

On Sunday 10th August our welcome guests will be members from the Classic Corvette Club. We are expecting their arrival at approximately 14:30.

On Saturday 23rd August members from the Museum will be visiting Avon Valley Railway at Oldland Common.

At 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday 26th August The Association for Industrial Archaeology will be visiting the Museum.

Over the weekend of 30th and 31st August the Wolseley 6/80, Morris Oxford and Morris Minor Club will be visiting the Musuem.

The National Microcar Rally 2008 hosted by the Bug Club will be held at the Museum from Thursday 4th September to Monday 8th September.

On Saturday 4th October AJS and Matchless Owners Club (Newbury section) will be arriving at the Museum between 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m.

Our guests at the Museum on Sunday 5th October will be members of the Bristol Austin 7's Club

The Museum's Mulled Wine Party and Christmas Draw will take place on Saturday 6th December this year.

The Friends of the Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum will be holding their Christmas Dinner on Saturday 13th December.

Finally, our last scheduled visit of the year will be on Sunday 14th December when we welcome the Volvo Enthusiasts Club members to the Museum.

Our ANNUAL CLASSIC VEHICLE SHOW 2009 will take place on Sunday 12th July 2009. This promises to be a fantastic day out at the Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum - 2009 Theme to be confirmed ~350 classic vehicles on the showground and in the Museum. Fun for all the family - Miniature Land Rover Ride, Competitions, Prizes for ’Best in Show’ Car, Motorcyle, Tractor and Commercial Vehicle, Calne Silver Band, Tombola, Playground, Tea Room, BBQ, Beer Tent. Christmas Prize Draw Tickets, Trade Stands & Auto Jumbles.
Further details including application forms will be available on this Website in January 2009. Event opens at 10.00 a.m. and closes at 4.30 p.m.
