MUSEUM SUPPORT GROUP

There is a very active club attached to the Museum known as “The Friends”.

Membership is typically only £6.50 per person per year or £14.00 for a family membership.

This entitles you to free admission to The Museum all year round, but more importantly opens up a whole range of activities to a member of The Friends.

The Friends meet on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 19:45 (for a 20:00 start) at the Oliver Cromwell Public House on the A342 at Bromham near Devizes which is aproximately 4 miles from the Museum.

Events organised or attended by The Friends in 2004 and 2005 have included:

  • Quiz nights
  • A Treasure Hunt
  • Attending the Heddington Steam Fair in July 2004
  • 2004 Cheese and Wine evening at the Museum
  • Attending the 26th Bristol and West Car Show held at Shepton Mallet in January 2005
  • The "PICNIC IN THE PARK CLASSIC CAR RUN" took place on Sunday 12th June with group of cars travelling from the Museum to Pittville Park in Cheltenham. Our grateful thanks go to Andy Littler for all his efforts organising this excellent event. Some photographs from the event are below.
